A Ton of Grapes

The boutique estate is 23 hectares in size, of which 14 hectares are planted under vine, with grape varietals including Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz. Even though Haskell Vineyards is particularly known for its Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, our single vineyard Chardonnay vines were planted in 1988 making these vines some of the oldest in the Cape. We are extremely proud to receive John Platter’s recognition each year for this outstanding quality of Chardonnay.

The Haskell and Dombeya range, both exhibit an uncompromised purity and transparency that allows for a full expression of vintage and terroir. It is quality over quantity and approximately 10 000 cases are produced every year, of which half is sold within South Africa and the remainder exported throughout Africa, Europe, Asia and America.
