“Born and raised in Austria, I joined the Haskell Team in 2011 as House Manager for the Haskell Group. When my two daughters decided to further their studies in Austria I joined them in 2013 only to return to South Africa in April 2017 when I took over as Operations Manager of Haskell Vineyards and Longtable Restaurant. Different jobs in different industries and countries have taught me a lot, but there is one thing that is important no matter where you are in life: the appreciation of certain values. Genuine care, always being open to learning, building trust, perseverance, giving the best of your ability, checking the ego, dreaming big and winning together.”

Being a great team player and a fast learner, over the years I have risen from bottom to top. I joined Haskell Vineyards in February 2020, after having been in the Wine Industry since 2010. My motto is “If it does not challenge you, then it does not change you.” I love my work as I find the challenge of figures exciting and it has certainly changed me for the better. It sounds easier said than done; but working as a Bookkeeper requires focus and a level of humility with an understanding which only comes with learning and experience. Self-motivation, hard-working and adhering to principles & values has made me acquire many skills to produce high standard of work & achieve goals.

“I studied at Silwood Kitchens in Rondebosch and did a 3year Grande Diploma course. Started as a trainee at Terroir Restaurant under the supervision of Michael Broughton. Then I travelled abroad to Peebles in Scotland, where I got to work at a Boutique hotel and restaurant with their own fresh produce garden. That is where my love for fresh seasonal food started. After returning to South Africa I have worked my way through a few wine farms such as Big Easy, Cuvee @ Simonsig and as Head Chef at Babel@ Babylonstoren before joining Longtable Restaurant as Head of kitchen in September 2018. I have been a chef for almost 14 years, and still loving it!”

Being responsible for setting up dinner tables and décor my passion for events & weddings goes back to this very young age. I have worked in the hospitality industry in the US to gain some international experience before I joined the Haskell Team in September 2018.”
